Kylemore Abbey is the number one visitor attraction in the western part of Ireland and for good reason. Kylemore Abbey is a Benedictine monastery founded in 1920, and there are incredible views all around. During your visit, be sure to enjoy the restored rooms of the Abbey and learn the history of the area. There is six acre Victorian Walled Garden in the area as well, the perfect place for breathtaking photos. You can also take a stroll through the many trails such as the woodland walks, the lakeshore walks, and the nature trails. The Gothic Church is located near the Abbey, and it is only a short walk away. If you’re feeling hungry during your visit, stop by Mitchell’s Cafe of the Garden Tea House, and end your visit at the gift shop before you depart.
