The Kilkee Cliff Walk begins near the Diamond Rocks Cafe at the West End of the town of Kilkee. At the start of the cliff walk are the Pollock Holes, a deep set of rock pools and a natural stone ampitheatre formed by the waves. The Pollock Holes are very popular with swimmers, especially during the summer. After you pass the Pollock Holes, you begin the incredible walk along the coastline. During the walk, you will pass by Intrinsic Bay, named after the ship Intrinsic which sank in 1836. Whenever you reach Dunlicky Road, the main road, during the cliff walk, you have two options: you can either turn left and head back towards Kilkee for a 4-5km walk roundtrip, or you can turn right along the coast until you reach a left turn for the 8km walk. The road has magnificent views that overlook Kilkee, and the road will take you back to town as well.
