The Blasket Islands are a group of islands off Dingle Peninsula, and they were inhabited until 1953. The Blasket Islands consist of the Great Blasket Island, Beginish, Inishnabro, Inishvickillane, Inishtooskert, and Tearaght Island. If you do not wish to adventure into the water to visit the islands, you can get a fantastic view off them from afar at Dunmore Head on the far western edge of Dingle Peninsula. If you do wish to visit the islands, you can book a tour with Blasket Islands Eco Marine Tours. The eco tour takes you below the cliffs of Slea Head Drive and the Cathedral Rocks of Inishnabro. You will have the opportunity to see each of the incredible Blasket Islands, including the Great Blasket Island. There are multiple tours, such as the morning cruise and the afternoon guided eco marine tour. If you wish to actually land on the Great Blasket Island, there is also an all day ferry and eco marine tour. Departure times vary per tour.
