With a population of nearly 7000, Buncrana is a popular stop in the Northern Headlands region. Located by the coast of the Lough Swilly, Buncrana offers an endless amount of gorgeous views. There are several retail locations and tourist facilities as well. Lisfannon Beach, a popular Blue Flag beach, is located just south of the town and is a wonderful place to simply relax. If you want to get a round of golf, then simply head over to Buncrana Golf Club, the oldest 9-hole links course in Ireland. Even if you are not the best golfer, you will certainly enjoy your visit since the golf course overlooks the beautiful Lough Swilly.
