The Devil’s Chimney is located about 11km northeast of Sligo Town. There is a hiking trail that has opened recently that allows visitors to reach the top of the waterfall. This is the perfect area to stop, get pictures, and enjoy the scenery. The Devil’s Chimney stands 150m high, overlooking the Glencar Lough. The Devil’s Chimney is listed on the World Waterfall database as Ireland’s tallest waterfall! Don’t let this intimidate you as you hike towards the top. The views are worth it. However, please note that the waterfall does not flow during periods of dry weather; if the waterfall is not visible on the cliff face from the car park, then the waterfall is not flowing.
